The sales employee field is an attribute to the contact person relationship and is relevant for the data exchange scenario. In R/3 the same field is described as Representative number. The personnel number that uniquely identifies the representative from your organization who calls on this contact person.
The Employee ID field in the Account Details and the Employee ID field in the Contact Details are not the same. They are different fields using different components.
In the Account Details, the Employee ID field uses component- BP_HEAD, View BP_HEAD/AccountDetails, Context node - EMPLOYEERESPONSIBLE Attribute - STRUCT.PARTNER2 whereas in the Contact Details, this field uses component BP_CONT, View -
BP_CONT/SalesEmployee and Context node - SALESEMPLOYEE.
